About Soma Sanctuary

Hi, I’m Tanis,

For much of my life, I lived disconnected from my body. Like many people, I learned to survive in my head — pushing through, performing, caring for everyone else, while slowly losing connection with myself along the way. What I came to understand is that the more disconnected we become from our bodies, the easier we lose touch with our intuition, purpose, joy, and sense of inner safety

Our bodies hold so much — stress, grief, trauma, exhaustion, and stories we were never given space to process. And often, what we’re truly longing for isn’t to be “fixed,” but to feel safe enough to soften. Safe enough to rest. Safe enough to come home to ourselves again.

That is the heart of Soma Sanctuary: to offer a space where you can feel safe, held, and deeply cared for. A space where the nervous system can soften, the body can exhale, and healing can unfold gently.

I believe in the power of touch not only as a physical experience, but as a language. Intentional, supportive touch can reconnect us to ourselves and remind us that we are worthy of care, rest, and full embodiment.

Soma Sanctuary was born from my own journey home to myself, and it is an honour to walk alongside others as they reconnect to theirs.
